I’m Anand. This site brings together a few different threads of what I think about and what I make, all in one place.

India is where I’m from, and the section I care most about getting right: not a tourist-brochure version, but history, culture, and religion as I’ve actually come to understand them, revised as my understanding has changed. Some of what’s here now directly contradicts what was on this site twenty years ago. That’s the point.

Alongside that is Spoken Words, a categorized collection of quotes I keep coming back to, dozens of categories, from Ambition to War to Witty, plus a random quote of the day if you’d rather not browse.

I’m quite active on the software side too. Previous work includes MyRepTracker, StudyHoot, ArsAstro, and FutbolHawk, along with what I’m building now: shrbl, a capabilities-based operating system I’m writing in Rust. Find out more about it all under Software Projects.
